"Raw, powerful, and emotional" are often used to describe the guitar and vocal stylings of René Solis.
As the founding member of the wildly popular band NiteCry, his ability to take command of the stage and capture
an audience's attention is unsurpassed. He has perfected his style to an art-- playing tough and tender guitar with
dynamics that can take you from a whisper quiet interlude to an in-your-face fiery blues solo. René pours his heart
and soul into every note and his extraordinary delivery, combined with an extensive musical repertoire, have enabled him to
perform at major venues across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

This award-winning guitarist's credits include performing as a headliner at the renowned Monterey
Bay Blues Festival, The New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, Memphis in May, The Sacramento Jazz Jubilee, The San Francisco
Blues Festival, and countless other concerts and events. Over the years, he has played alongside the biggest names in
the blues-- BB King, Albert King, John Lee Hooker, Kenny Neal,
and former NiteCry member Tommy Castro.

As creator/ producer of the Blues Guitar Extravaganza, René brings together the biggest and best
blues guitarists in existence for a showcase of amazing proportions. In its fifth year, this event has thrilled audiences
throughout Northern California and attained accolades from industry giants by featuring such blues legends as Chris
Cain, Ron Thompson, Daniel Castro, and Mighty Mike Schermer, to
name but a few. From its modest beginnings at JJs Blues in San Jose, this exciting show now commands standing-room only status
at such prestigious venues as Villa Montalvo, The Little Fox, and The Sweetwater Saloon. Check the

René is proud to present his new band "Lucky 13", a soulful and hard-hitting combination--
